PROSPERITY (2-18-10)

Psalms 1:3
He is like a tree planted near running water, that yields its fruit in due season, and whose leaves never fade. Whatever he does, prospers.
--------------------------------------------

Money can buy you...

A skilled doctor but not health.
A high-priced psychiatrist but not peace.
A house but not a home.
Clothes for your children but not their respect.
A car but not safety.
Food but not contentment.
A Bible but not understanding.
A beautiful church building but not spiritual people.
Companionship but not friendship.
A wedding but not a marriage.

But God does not want us to also sit home in poverty with a depressed and lowly heart, either. No, that is the picture society has sown in our minds. You can still feel and know God while you are living in prosperity.

You are prosperous when you are able to produce, when you are full of life and when you are giving life.

Prosperity is producing for others and living for others like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season.

This is why all you need to prosper in everything is to know what the Word of God says, obeying the Word and putting your trust in Him

You can have it all and be prosperous...with the Word of God!

Let us pray +

Dear God, I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money to your Divine care and love. I ask you to help me to understand my purpose in life and to act on that purpose with courage and strength. Amen +

Blessed are they who hope in the Lord.
