LOVE (2-14-10)

Luke 6:22-23
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you, and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. Rejoice and leap for joy on that day! Behold, your reward will be great in heaven.

“We love Him, because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).

God did not love us because we loved Him, but He loved us before we even had the chance of loving Him.

He loved us even though we hate Him. He loved us even though we sin against Him. He loved us even though we do not love Him back.

And how? Just as we are in our sins God loves us, and for since we are in that state, He gave his Son to die for us so we may have the opportunity to join Him again in eternity in Heaven.
