GOLDEN RULE (2-25-10)

Matthew 7:12
“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.”
-----------------------------------------

If you do not want to be harmed, do not inflict harm to others.
If you do not want to be cheated, then do not cheat on others.

This is the golden rule… do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you.

But with Jesus, He took it into a positive note… “Do unto others what you want others do unto you.”

So if you want to be loved, you must also learn how to love.
If you want to be successful in life, you must help others to follow that path to success also.

Just think how many great changes would be made if we all start practicing Jesus' teachings.

Every individual would be kind, loving, and considerate to those with whom he came into contact with, because this is how he desires to be treated.

As you get acquainted with Jesus, you'll come to know God. As you learn to follow Jesus with your heart and being, you'll be keeping the first and most important commandment, to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Isn’t this how you want to be treated?

Let us pray +

Teach me to love, Lord, as You love,
Make it unconditional, honest, and kind,
To ask nothing back in return, Lord,
To encompass the whole of mankind.

Amen +

Lord, on the day I called for help, you answered me.
