John 1:16-17
From his
fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace... while the law was
given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
In the coming new year, let’s find a quiet
place and start assessing ourselves. Do
we need sharpening as we face new challenges in life?
Make plans to sharpen our skills, our
knowledge and of course, our spirit.
God will continue to sharpen us, for we are
the swords God has chosen to sharpen others for His great work until the end of
time.
Almighty Father, sharpen me. May I continue to grow in You, continually
learning Your words, understanding Your will and doing what is right. I submit myself to Your Son, Jesus so we see
Him clearly as His kingdom come in our lives and in the world!
Oh Lord, Your word is living and active,
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of
spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of
the heart. We pray for each other today,
as we share Your great work with each other through our friendships.
Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the
LORD, all you lands.
