FOR THE BETTER (08-06-10)

Feast of the Transfiguration

Luke 9:29
While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white.
-----------------------------------------------------

Change is the only constant thing in this world. We all change in appearance, in thinking, in attitude. But one thing is always expected – that we should change for the better and not for the worse.

I still feel that the Lord God is changing me. Still, I will not be the judge of myself. Those people around me must feel the change in me and within me. Change comes and it goes. When it comes, it feels like it's going to last forever. It can make you feel like the world is ending. But as long as you hold on, and believe that tomorrow things will be better, it can make you feel so great.

In the transfiguration, Jesus has shown to His disciples His divinity. The Son of God came to earth in the form of a man to be the true servant of God and to gift mankind with the eternal life. And the transfiguration of Jesus Christ was a visible sign in the presence of reliable witnesses of the reality of the power of God and the glory, which is Christ Jesus.

He practically changed from a mortal one to a Heavenly being equal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

We are ever changing, ever growing, ever gaining tools to better serve God and this world in a positive way. Day by day, we left each moment to God. I may not be able to attain that divinity in my lifetime here on earth, but that should what we shall aspire for – being perfect for our Father is perfect.

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, upon the mountain you revealed our Messiah, who by his death and resurrection would fill both the law and the prophets. By his Transfiguration enlighten our path that we may dare to suffer with him in the service of humanity. Continue to change my heart and my whole being so we may follow You willingly. Amen +

The Lord is king, the Most High over all the earth.
