INSANITY (1-23-10)

Mark 3:21
“He is out of His mind.”
------------------------------------

When we try to introduce something new or different, we are sometimes called “weird”. It could either be us or the idea we are presenting.

However, this immediate reaction from other people only means that they are not willing to accept the “abnormal” that would change their “normal” life. They are contented already with what they have.

But Einstein would put it differently, when he remarked, “Insanity is expecting different results while doing the same thing over and over again”.

 You want to improve your company’s performance, but you are not willing to invest on training or to hire the best people and just settle for mediocre one.

 You want your family to love you, but you still put your vices and friends above them.

 You want to be in Heaven, but you still wallow in sins.

The gospel reminds us today that the choice to follow Jesus is the only right one, even though it means insanity for some.

Nothing is more important than doing the will of God, because only in that way does a person becomes a child of God, and a brother or sister of Jesus.

So, are you out of your mind?

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, teach us to love you more and more. Our lives today may be away from you, but we know that through Your infinite love and mercy, we would someday fully know you and be ready to join You in Heaven. Others may think that we are insanely in love with you, but I don’t mind as long as we know that only Your will is what we do. Amen +

Let us see your face, Lord, and we shall be saved.
