OUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN

Mark 2:10
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth…

There are times that we find it hard to forgive another person, even if we want to. The reason we cannot forgive another person is often because we cannot forgive ourselves. When we reflect on how grievous our own sins have been, and how, despite all that, God still forgives us, we learn to forgive ourselves. Let me share with you what “they” say about forgiveness:

Man’s deepest need is not for fairness, but for forgiveness. Forgiveness is the power to liberate from past sin and restore to an individual a sense of self-worth. Forgiveness is the power to deal with justifiable guilt, not by ignoring it, but by eliminating it. Forgiveness is a cool drink of water to a dry and parched tongue. Lord Jesus Christ, I ask today to forgive everyone in my life. I know that You will give me the strength to forgive and I thank You that You love me more than I love myself. Thank You, Jesus, that I am being freed of the evil of unforgiveness. Let Your Holy Spirit fill me with light and let every dark area of my mind be enlightened.

Oh Lord, purify our hearts and minds today. Lord, forgive us for the sins, faults and failings, for all that are bad in ourselves or that we think is bad. We forgive each other; and we truly accept Your forgiveness. We trust that You have forgiven us today, and we forgive ourselves.
