A LIGHT UNTO OTHERS

Mark 4:21
Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand?
---------------------------------------------

Place on my lips your greatest praise, illuminating others around me.

During power outages, only then would we realize the importance of light. In the darkness, we cannot see anything. If we move, we risk stumbling on things we do not see and hurt ourselves. We would reach out for a flashlight, or a matchstick and a candle to provide even a tiny flicker of light so we can “see again”. And as we hold on to that little light, we try to find others so they can also see their way out of the darkness.

Some, if not most of us, has already seen the light – that is, our Lord Jesus Christ. But should we keep this truth to ourselves? The Lord is clear that we should not. We should share this joy and inspiration to others so they may also experience life to the fullest with Him. We do not keep the light to ourselves, or else, it would mean nothing. Only when we share it with others would it mean so much to us, to others and to the Lord.

In life, we are always inspiring someone, somewhere to some degree. We can inspire others to fulfill the joy of the Lord and accept the higher call of God. We can also inspire others NOT to follow our actions by the negative results that we get in life. It is my hope that you all give and receive the highest inspiration in your life. Share the light of Jesus. Live a life that is fulfilling so that others may see that light through you, constantly illuminating your life and that of others.

Let us pray +

Lord Jesus, Give your light through me and remain in me in such a way that every soul I come in contact with can feel your presence in me. May people not see me, but see you in me. Remain in me, so that I shine with your light,
and may others be illuminated by my light. All light will come from you, Oh Jesus. Not even the smallest ray of light will be mine. You will illuminate others through me.

Amen +

The LORD’s are the earth and its fullness; the world and those who dwell in it.
