YOUNG AT HEART (09-25-10)

Ecclesiastes 11:9
Rejoice, O young man, while you are young and let your heart be glad in the days of your youth.
---------------------------------------------------------

We are not getting younger. Every hour that passes by means another hour less in our life here on earth. But that should not be a reason for us to be worried. And the more reason for us to enjoy life we have today with the Lord. However, we must spend it in clean fun, always remembering that a happy soul comes from a clean heart and conscience.

As Jesus had said, “I tell you with certainty, unless you change and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven”. Our God is all-mercy and all-kind, but he wants us to retain our childlike character – humility, full of hope and forever faithful in Him.

As such, we must ensure that the youth of today must understand the same. We cannot expect our children to grow spiritually, if they are not seeing the same from our words, actions and decisions.

Every youth who sits in our churches shall glorify God forever. Therefore, we must confront our young people with the reality, centrality, and glory of God early and often so that they might find Him to be the sole object of their hearts’ affections. May God be pleased to use us in His gracious work of saving young people for His eternal glory.

Let us celebrate always the rebirth and renewal of our soul. Be forever young at heart and may we build a better home willing to be the holy people God call us to be.

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, we ask You to bless us, keep us in Your love. Lord, give us hearts that are open, hearts that are humble and gentle, so that we may welcome those you send, with tenderness and compassion. And through the hands of your little ones, we ask you to bless us. Renew that life in each of us, and make us worthy apostles of life in our day! Amen +

In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.
