YOU ALONE, O LORD (07-27-10)

Jeremiah 14:22
Is it not you alone, O LORD, our God, to whom we look? You alone have done all these things.
----------------------------------------------------------

Problems in our lives would come and go. But if we try to dodge every problems that come our way, then it will surely hunt you down repeatedly in the future. All we need to do is seek Him and pray. Let Him hug you and carry you in His arms as the “storm” passes by. You will feel a little pain, but then, it would be gone in a little while.

Trusting in God banishes fear. Look to Him. Believe in Him. Trust in Him. He knows the count of the number of our hairs. Imagine, as trivial as this, He knows! What more of those vital things in our lives.

Jesus wants to get across the idea that it doesn’t matter what is happening in your life, God has an intimate knowledge of every detail. It may be that you are suffering in silence, or that your friends and family do not appreciate the depth of your anguish and pain, however, in the end God knows everything. He knows in detail everything! He has done all these things, remember?

God does not want us to be afraid of anything but to have confidence in him. If you acknowledge him as the source of all goodness, he will acknowledge you, when you appear before him for judgment.

Like a father who will do anything to protect his child, God watches over us. Seek His love. For His love is enough.

Let us pray +

Lord, in every need let me come to You with humble trust saying, "Jesus, help me." In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help me. In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help me. When my heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good come from my efforts, Jesus, help me. You alone is our Lord and Savior. Help me and never forsake me. Amen +

For the glory of your name, O Lord, deliver us.
