CHILDHOOD MEMORIES (07-14-10)

Matthew 11:25
“…for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to the childlike.”
------------------------------------------------------------

It’s rainy season again in the Philippines. And the rainy days would bring back memories of my childhood. We would frolic in the rain – running around, sliding through the wet pavement – unmindful of things that may happen to us once we slip.

I know you also have your own childhood memories – both happy and sad ones. And it is really great that once in a while, we remember them and bring smiles to our lips and happiness in our hearts.

We could only understand the workings and the love that God wants to share with us if we would have the mind and the heart of a child. He doesn’t want us to understand everything but He wants us to trust in Him as we live our life, totally oblivious of what will happen tomorrow.

God looks upon us as His children for children are trusting by nature, especially towards those who particularly show them affection.

Always be a kid at heart where even simple things can make you smile. Take time to enjoy the little things, the many little blessings that come along your way. As time goes by, reflect on your childhood days which re now a beautiful memory.

And, life goes on. We live. We love. We learn.

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, thank You for giving me a mind that can know
and a heart that can love. Let me be convinced that all knowledge leads to You and let me know how to find You and love You in all the things You have made. Grant me the grace to put my knowledge to use in building the Your kingdom on earth as I prepare myself for the kingdom in heaven. Amen +

The Lord will not abandon his people.
