Psalms 148:13
Praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; His majesty is above earth and heaven.
Mama’s condition is getting better. Yesterday, she was able to take in solid food and was able to talk for a while. Once we get the clearance from the doctor, we can release her from the hospital anytime this week. She would be taking some medicine, though. We had never doubted the healing power of God. But still, it was His will not ours. We shall praise Him forever, for God is good and His mercy endures forever.
Praise exalts God, it edifies the believer and it encourages the humble. One of the side benefits of praise is that those who are watching your life see that God is good. It may be sinners who see and when you declare God's praise they may be moved to find out how you can have joy when their life is so miserable. Hopefully, others may know and see the struggles that we have to endure; and still continue praising God amidst the tears and sufferings, and rejoicing through the pain.
When you are truly walking by faith you will find that you can praise God in all things. You can praise Him when you're healthy and you can praise Him when you're sick. And as you praise, your faith is edified, your faith is built up until it breaks forth in victory and giants fall and mountains move!
Let us pray +
My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Come spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You again.
Amen +
Heaven and earth are filled with your glory.
