BEAUTIFUL

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.

All are ready – the transportation, the food, the tomb, the map. And then it rained. Mama’s funeral was punctuated by rain. Many said that the heaven is crying because Mama is now gone. I would think otherwise. It rained because Mama is crying for us all. She is now in heaven and yet she worries that she would never see us again. She is crying because she now sees the unrepented sins in our hearts. We can always cry our hearts out for losing her, but she cries out more for us.

Jesus did not come to this earth to make it a better place to live, to offer fun and recreation to mankind. He did not die upon that cruel cross in order for man to have a good time. He died to save us. He died so Mama would be heaven today. He died so we can win heaven and be with Mama again in heaven. Isn’t it sweet? Isn’t it beautiful?

“To whom shall we go?” You, and I need, someone to whom we must go. Someone who is dependable and trustworthy. Someone who can meet our every need. Jesus is the answer. He offers what no one else can offer. He can give you hope. He can bestow upon you spiritual blessings. He can give you freedom from sins. He can bring you home to the Heavenly Father when our days on this earth are finished.

“To whom shall we go?” The only one is Christ.

“Are we ready?” The only answer is “Yes”.

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, only You can satisfy our needs. Only to you shall we go. For your Spirit gives life; the words You have spoken heals us. We accept Your invitation of being in Your love forever.

For ever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.
