OUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN

Mark 2:10
“But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth…”
------------------------------------------------

Our galaxy is but a speck of dust compared to the entire universe, and still it is expanding. Just imagine how big (or how tiny) we are compared to the milky way and to the whole universe. And yet, God is looking at you and me and taking care of us. Yet, we sometimes forget all about these and commit sins against Him.

But, He doesn’t care! God hates sin, but He loves the sinner. The price for God's forgiveness is high, but He paid the price Himself. By Christ's loving act of grace, believers are eternally freed from the penalty and guilt of sin. Once we're covered by the Blood of Christ, God doesn't keep a record of everything. Our forgiveness is total and complete. He also shows us why He did the healing miracles. It wasn't just to make people well – I am sure there were many people in Israel at that time who never received healing. He wasn't doing it because people aren't supposed to be sick, or that believers aren't supposed to be sick. He did it so that the people would know that He had the authority from God to forgive sins.

Will you be committing sin again? Well, try not to. Christian life should be a changed life. A person who claims to be a believer yet continually lives a life that says otherwise should question the genuineness of his faith. Christians should live a progressively more holy life as they grow closer to Christ. A changed life is a holy life – a perfect being devoid of sins.

Go to Him, ask for His forgiveness and He will give it to You, for He has that authority to forgive all sins.

Almighty Father, I love You with all my heart. I thank You for having kept me safe this day. Pardon me the evil I have done, and accept the good I have done. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. May Your grace be always with me and with all my loved ones. In turn, let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love for one another. Amen +

Lord, heal my soul, for I have sinned against you.
