CREATION

Genesis 2:3
So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work He had done in creation.

Let us all praise and thank God for creating, loving and taking care of us all!

It was dark
And You let the universe be bright
And the darkness in my heart was gone
Replaced by Your unending love and light

It was all evening
But You created an arch and created the sky
So I may look forward to another morning
Full of joy and hope; another to day to live by

The earth was barren
And you created seas, grass, herbs and trees
That I may consume and give me strength
So I may live fully; my hunger for You appeased

The night was empty
And You created the moon and the stars
To serve as guide at the darkness hours of my life
So I may get out of the pit without wounds and scars

The day is boring
So You created living creatures for me to behold
And rule over; and they would multiply and populate
To sustain and protect me through life untold

Finally, You created me
In the likeness of Your being; in all glory and splendor.
And would enjoy everything You created
And together with Eve, we live under Your loving candor.

O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!
