John 6:29
This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent
My wife and I attended a seminar on parenting. It was a two-hour talk, but very straight to the point. In the last 30-minutes, Bro. Ed shared his own life experience in raising up his only daughter, April. The talk is an eye-opener, not that it opened my eyes that we are doing wrong in raising up our own children, but rather, it helps us understand that we are not alone. In this age of technology, parent-teen bonding and communication becomes all the more important.
Lord God, You have come to this world by choosing to be part of a family. You could have come clothed in shiny clothes, riding in a chariot of fires with Your army of angels, so that people will believe that You are the King. But no! You chose to be born in a manger and be raised up by Mary and Joseph, knowing exactly well that the family is important in providing the very proper spiritual and moral upbringing to each and every child.
This is the very reason why we should believe and put our faith in You, Oh God. We have been demanding a lot from You lately, of things that we may not need. And instead of waiting, we show doubt and more disappointment. This has got to stop. From now on, I shall take the time to appreciate everything that you have already done and given us. And I will start with my own family. For giving them to me, I thank You fully.
“I have been waiting in vain for signs from Heaven
Up to the point that I get disappointed and doubt Your love.
This is wrong, I know that all I need, you have already provided
And for giving them to me, I thank You fully! ”
What we know of God encourages us to trust Him in all we don’t know.
