OMNIPRESENCE

Psalm 139:1
O Lord, you have knowledge of me, searching out all my secrets.

A poem inspired by Psalm 139. The Lord knows our every ways, thoughts and words.

You formed me out of clay
And breathed life
You formed me in my mother’s womb
And into the light was born.

You watch on me everyday
And give me strength
You watch my every steps and ways
You see my thoughts from far away.

I will give you praise,
for I am strangely and delicately formed;
your works are great wonders,
and of this my soul is fully conscious.
My frame was not unseen by you when I was made secretly,
and strangely formed in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book all my days were recorded,
even those which were purposed before they had come into being.
How dear are your thoughts to me, Oh Lord!
How great is the number of them!

You will be my guide eternally
My heart to You uncovered
Guide me by Your hands
Keep me in Your love
Reserve a mansion for me
In the Heaven above.

Truly, the upright will give praise to Your Name: the holy will have a place in Your house.
