BECAUSE I BELIEVE (05-30-13)

The man believed what Jesus said to him and left.

Yes, people during Jesus’ time is blessed because they were able to see and interact with Him, God who has become flesh.  But a very few has really believed He is the Lord and Savior.  Even though they see it with their very own eyes – the miracles, the parables, the humility even at death – they would not accept that in their hearts as real.

And our generation today is no more different.  We crave for miracles.  Everytime we embark on something, we tried to ask God for signs that will help us decide whether to continue or simply stop.  And if we fail, we just stop believing until we see the next miracle or sign. 

This has got to stop. 

All we need is to “PRAY, AIM HIGH (AT YOUR GOALS) AND STAY FOCUSED ON GOD”.  Wait, be still and be patient: keep God first and everything else will follow.

Be different.  Believe that we are more blessed for we believe even though we did not see him in flesh.  For we believe because we feel His love all around us.  We believe because we fully understand His teachings.  We believe because our heart would beat faster and faster with the mere mention of His name. 

We believe Him because we love and are being loved.  And in this season of Lent and in every day of our lives, repent and believe in the gospel.  He is our Savior, worthy of our praise and worship.

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, I believe in You and praise You forever.  All that I am and all that I possess You have given me: I surrender it all to You to be disposed of according to Your will.  Amen +

I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
