Luke 18:7
“Do to others
whatever you would have them do to you. This
is the law and the prophets.”
In Physics, you have the Law of Interaction: “To every action, there is always an equal
and opposite reaction.”
In Buddhism, you have the concept of Karma: “For every event that occurs, there will
follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second
event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or
unskillful.”
And then, there is the Golden Rule: “Do not do unto others what you do not want
others do unto you.”
And then, there is the Christian way as espoused by
the Lord Jesus: “Love your neighbor as
yourself.”
What a great principle to live by. Knowing that doing something good can be
rewarded back with something greater.
God has shown us this by even giving His
only Son so that His Life, Death and Resurrection could provide us with our
salvation and eternal life with Him.
This is the greatest act of love that the Lord is also expecting from us
– to live our life for others so they may also feel the love of God in their
lives through us.
The more we give, the more we love. Start by hearing His words and living a life
devoted to Him. Invite Him to dwell in
our hearts so we may live a life of holiness and be a model to others.
Let us pray +
Almighty
Father, let us love one another, for Your
love is a selfless, giving love. The
love we should offer shall no longer be self-seeking, but, instead it shall seek
the good of those that we love. Amen

Lord, on the day I called for help, you answered me.
