Romans 1:16
I
am not ashamed of the Gospel. It is the
power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes…
Are you ashamed of something? Maybe, something bad that you did. Or things that you acquired illegally. And why are you ashamed? For fear of being scorned or be
persecuted. For fear of being told that
you are wrong. And it was all a matter
of pride.
In his letter to the Romans, St. Paul
readily emphasized that he is not ashamed of the Gospel and he is willing to
share it to everyone who is willing to listen and accept the salvation it
offers. And since it is the truth, it is
only proper to share them to others. If
we do believe the truth, then there should be no fear to examine it in the
light of every passage and verse, because truth will always win out.
We cannot harm the truth of God by
examining it. We can read all about it
through books and blog sites. We can
hear all about it by attending bible studies and being ministered by others. We can live it by praying, sharing our
experiences with others and asking others to live a life with Him. Only those who are insecure and fearful will
be unwilling to do this. We should not
be ashamed to express and practice what we believe, for what we believe is the
truth.
Are you truly believing that God has
forgiven you and the whole world as well?
Are you really doing what God is telling you? And that by faith you can receive His
righteousness and stand before the living God with exceeding joy?
Believe and not be ashamed, so He will
never be ashamed of us.
Let us pray +
Lord Jesus, I believe in You, knowing fully that those who trust in You will
not be ashamed before God. And He will not be ashamed to be called their God! Amen +
The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
