Isaiah 41:13
I am the LORD,
your God, who grasp your right hand; It is I who say to you, “Fear not, I will
help you.”
One way or the other,
we fear something… or someone. I,
myself, have a fear of height. I still
remember when we were doing some mountain climbing in China. I have to quit and go down because I cannot
bear it anymore. My body is trembling,
that I have to go down slowly.
But it is great to feel the tapping on my
shoulder when we reached the ground, with my wife and kids telling me that it
is okay now.
We go through life with lots of fear in
life. It even came to a point for some
that they would commit suicide just to escape problems in their lives. And this is just because no one tapped him on
his shoulder and say, “don’t worry it would be alright.”
Feel the tap on your shoulder, for the Lord
God is telling you that all would be alright.
He is continually grasping your right hand in times of trouble and
problems.
When we have a relationship with God, we can rely on
His promises. We can be strong and of
good courage. We can fear nothing
because God is with us, He will not fail us, nor forsake us.
This is His promise.
And as a faithful God, we need to have faith in Him.
Let us pray +
Almighty
Father, help me overcome fear
of man and of the unknown. May I look up
to you and seek Your mighty name so I may not be afraid of being alone, not to
be afraid of being too weak, not to be afraid of not being heard, and not to be
afraid for our physical necessities. I
know I can, because I have put my total trust in You. Amen +
The Lord is gracious and merciful; slow to anger, and of great kindness.
