Mark 6:31
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”

My head is aching.
My body is in pain.
I cannot breathe.
My heart beats fast up to a point of exploding.
I want to scream… I want to hurt myself…
…but there is a better way.
I knelt in prayers and talked to God.
I gave to Him all the pain, all the aches, all the suffering, all the doubts and fears. I asked for forgiveness for myself and for all those whom I love... and hated. I asked Him to give me the rest He promises.
I asked Him to put my heart at peace.
I am still in pain and afraid but not as painful as before. And in time, God will take them all away and allow my being to be at rest with Him.
It is really great, that once in a while, you retreat from this life, and seek rest for a while. A moment of rest with God, totally at peace with Him.
Let us pray +
Almighty Father, give me rest. Amen +
The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
