GREATEST CREATION (10-01-10)

Psalms 139:14
I give you thanks that I am fearfully, wonderfully made; wonderful are your works.

Along the Kowloon harbor in Hongkong, we would start taking pictures. We are awed by the beautiful lights, tall buildings, state-of-the-art bridges and long-span roads. We would remark that this is truly a product of man’s ingenuity and advancement in technology.

And yet who created man? Who gave man this talent and intelligence in order to “create” all these wonderful things? I know that you know the answer. And isn’t it great to be a child of God so we can experience the richness and greatness that this world has to offer.

But sometimes, we forget this truth. As soon as we developed something beautiful, we consider it us our own. We want others to praise us and worship us for bringing this “creation” to the world. We simply forget to give thanks to the One who gave us the strength, the intelligence and the passion to produce such wonderful works.

God has created the greatest creation. No other than us. But He did not stopped at that. He created first the things that we would need to live – water, land, food and the air we breathe. We are His greatest creation, and so it is only proper to bring to Him back all glory and praises.

See and believe in the works of God. Let your mind and heart respond with a life filled with thankfulness, service, and worship. God has opened your eyes to the truth of creation so lift up your voice in praise and adoration to the Most High.

Let us pray +

Almighty Father, I know that whatever You do, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; You have made it so, in order that men should fear, love and glorify You, and You alone, now and forever.

Guide me, Lord, along the everlasting way.
