POWER OF GOD

Here is your God! Here comes with power the Lord GOD…

I used to play Starcraft or Warcraft. These are PC games under the category of “strategy games”. In this type of game, I am in control of my own “country”. I may be only given some gold, lumbers and workers from which I start to build a community, then an army, and so on. I have to protect the community from invaders or else, my country will crumble, and I lost the game. Decisions must also be made - like whether to build an army barrack or a hospital; whether to train “knights” or “archers” - knights maybe tougher, but they are “expensive (more gold and lumber)”.

But, when I feel I am losing, I activate what are called “cheats”. These are codes being entered to get more gold, or get more power without “sweating it out.” My most favorite cheat is the “god mode”. When you invoke this cheat, your country becomes invincible and your army becomes immortal.

Almighty Father, today, I am playing a different “game”. The end in mind is also the same, to win in the end – but this time, against evil and temptations. And I am not anymore the master, but You are. I have to follow whatever You asked of me. And when I feel I am losing, I believe that You will immediately enter the “cheats” to make me stronger against the enemies.

Oh Lord, You have not yet used the most powerful code on me. And it is really up to me if I would be worthy of that code. But I know that time will come when my soul will be rewarded with it - the reward of eternal life in heaven. So, I have to commit myself today in serving You, so I may be worthy of that reward. Reserve me a place in heaven, Oh Lord, when I finally be made worthy of the “God mode”.

Almighty Father, You have not yet used the most powerful code on me. And it is really up to me if I would be worthy of that code.
